Richmond football club say the decision to release Noongar Chris Yarran (pictured) from his contract was made after lengthy consultation with the player.
Yarran was released on Tuesday after the first day of pre – season training, to retun home to Western Australia.
Tigers footy manager Neil Balme says with Yarran facing a number of concerns at home, it was felt the best decision for the player was to release him and allow him to return to the West.
