Brilliant midfielder Daniel Wells (pictured) value to the North Melbourne footy club was on offer for all to see in the 7 point win over St Kilda on Sunday.

All but ruled out of the match at three quarter time by the clubs medical staff after suffering a significant leg injury, Wells insisted on being put back into the game when it was there to be won in the final minutes and came up with a couple of crucial plays just when his team needed it most.

The ladder leaders had it all to play for with veteran Drew Petrie playing  his 300th and North coach Brad Scott said Wells efforts were what the club has come to expect from the 31 year old.
