Tiwi Islander Willie Rioli (pictured) will begin life as an AFL footballer today after being drafted by West Coast.
The 21 year old was taken with pick No. 52 by the Eagles and is sure to be a fan favourite with a footy pedigree that includes cousins Cyril and Daniel as wells uncles Maurice Rioli and Ronnie Burns.
It hasn’t been an easy ride though for Rioli who needed to lose 16 kilo’s while playing in the SANFL before he could be considered for the AFL.
