As Mal Meninga prepares to introduce the next generation of players to international rugby league, he can rest easy in the knowledge that he won’t be looking for a replacement for Johnathon Thurston (pictured) just yet.
Meninga has picked a squad for the upcoming Four Nations tournament minus a number of veteran players as the coach seeks to change the culture within the team and to bring to an end the sides losing streak against the Kiwis.
Thurston, a veteran of ten years in the Kangaroos side says he has every intention of continuing with the Australian team as long as the coach will have him.
