AFL ladder leaders North Melbourne go into Sundays clash with St Kilda with out key forward Lindsay Thomas (pictured) who was suspended for a week following his high tackle on the Bulldogs Lachie Hunter on Friday night.

Thomas was only referred to the tribunal for the tackle after the Match Review Panel decided he had a case to answer.

Thomas is a player who attracted the ire of umpires in the past and North coach Brad Scott says he believes the 28 year old Indigenous All Stars suspension  is as much about his reputation as it is about the tackle on Hunter.
