The Port Adelaide football club have welcomed suspended pair Paddy Ryder (pictured) and Angus Monfries on the first day of pre – season training.

The former Bombers missed the 2016 season after accepting 12 month bans for doping but are now free to join the club as it begins the hard yards of preparing for the 2017 AFL season.

Port midfielder Ollie Wines says the return of the pair has given the club a real boost as it seeks to put behind it what was  disappointing 2016 season.
