Olympic gold medallists the Australian womens rugby sevens team are preparing for the first womens world series event to be played on home soil.
The tournament will be held in Sydney on the 3rd and 4th of February and will be the sides first on field appearance in Australia since their historic gold medal win at the Rio Olympics.
Coach Tim Walsh (pictured) says he’s determined to see his team continue to capitalise on the results of 2016 which saw the popularity of rugby sevens skyrocket worldwide.
