The Port Adelaide fan that racially abused Adelaide Crows star Eddie Betts in the weekend clash at the Adelaide Oval has been banned indefinitely from attending AFL matches.
27 year old Alexandra Pelosi (pictured) was filmed throwing a banana at Betts after he kicked one of his five goals in what was his 250th AFL match.
AFL boss Gillon McLachlan says he’s fully supportive of the ban and that he’s taken heartened at the way the footy community has responded to the latest incident, the latest in a long list of racist attacks against First Nations players.
