New South Wales face losing halfback Mitchell Pearce (pictured) permanently following the news the Roosters half is considering standing down from Origin duties in 2016.
While no confirmation has been offered by Pearce, the news would be a boost for the Roosters whos season has shown an immediate turnaround following Pearces’ return from rehab.
Former Origin star Steve Renouf says he believes allowing Pearce to continue his return to the game away from the spotlight of Origin footy would be the best thing for the players long term future in the game.
