Johnathon Thurston is in vintage form going into next Wednesdays Origin Game Three in Sydney.

Despite being the oldest man on the field in the Cowboys dismantling of Souths on Sunday, 33 year old Thurston (pictured) was unstoppable, turning back the clock to his ball running days of old, taking the ball to the line 18 times for 144 total metres gained and darting over for the first try in the 11th minute.

No one knows better just how great a player Thurston can be than his Queensland teammate and Souths skipper Greg Inglis,  and the Dhungutti man said on a day like that, there was nothing his team could do to control Thurston at his best.
