NFL star Colin Kaepernick (pictured) says he’ll continue to sit during the playing of the National Anthem to bring light to injustice in the US.
The San Francisco 49ers quarterback has been widely criticized in the US for failing to stand during the playing of the Star Spangled Banner, which was penned by slave owner Francis Scott Key.
Kaepernick says the protest is intended the highlight the many injustices that continue to be experienced by Americans to this day.
