The Brisbane Aboriginal Tent Embassy will on Monday light the fire in commemoration of the Frontier Wars.

As the wider Australian community marks ANZAC Day by remembering those who have fallen under the Australian and New Zealand flags, First Nations people across the continent will be remembering their ancestors who fell in the Frontier Wars.

Embasy spokesperson and Gomeroi man Bo Spearim says the fire also reflects images seen by Captain Cook as he sailed up the east coast.
