Mercurial Geelong Cats star Steven Motlop (pictured) says he hopes to spend more time in the midfield when the 2017 AFL season begins.
Motlop finished second in the clubs goal kicking behind Tom Hawkins in 2016 although his output was somewhat inconsistent in the latter half of the season.
The 25 year old says after an excellent pre season, he hopes his improved fitness will see him spending more time alongside the likes of Paddy Dangerfield and skipper Joel Selwood in the Cats midfield.
