Essendon utility Courtenay Dempsey (pictured) has spoken of the pain caused to his family by the racist harassment he received on social media last year.
Speaking on the eve of the Sir Doug Nicholls Round, Dempsey has called for renewed efforts to stamp out racism in Australian society.
Essendon take on Richmond at the Dreamtime at the G clash and Dempsey says its inconceivable that such racism continues in our society.
