Hawthorn champion Sam Mitchell (pictured) says there is a very real possibility of a move to West Coast for the 2017 AFL season.
Mitchell, who was named the Hawks best and fairest for the fifth time last week says the idea was suggested to him by coach Alistair Clarkson, despite having a year to run on his contract at the Hawks.
Mitchell has been open about his plans to join the Eagles coaching staff after he retires and says after getting over the initial shock, the idea of a trade makes sense at this stage of his career.
