Former rugby league international Justin Hodges says Mal Meningas plan to introduce the next generation of Kangaroos stars is already paying off.
Meninga (pictured) made the difficult decision to exclude a number of veterans from his Four Nations squad and the team kicked off its campaign with a well crafted win over the Kiwis in Perth on Saturday night.
Hodges says while its no easy decision to make those changes, the result on the weekend indicates that the coach has got it right.
