Essendon rookie Jake Long’s AFL career is off to a good start after the Bombers six point win over the Suns on the weekend.
20 year old Long (pictured), the son of Essendon legend Michael Long had 13 touches in his first gamed at the highest level and bought the crowd to its feet when he laid on a goal for another son of a legend Joe Daniher.
After two years at the Bombers without a game, Long says he’s hoping for a long career at the club alongside a couple of famous Essendon names.
