Cronulla Sharks premiership star Valentine Holmes (pictured) says it was enquiries from NFL clubs that inspired his trip to the U.S for a trial.
Holmes and North Queensland forward Jason Taumalolo underwent a two hour workout on the weekend in front of scouts from a number of clubs and impressed with their agility and speed.
Holmes, who is yet to play from Queensland despite playing for Australia in 2016 says it was overseas interest that first alerted he and Taumalolo to the possibility of a switch to the NFL.
