Former Queensland and Australian star Justin Hodges says he relieved to hear that Bulldogs forward David Klemmer (pictured) was exonerated after being charged with illegally making contact with an official.
The NRL had announced its intention to crackdown on the offence leading to both Klemmer and Brisbane star James Roberts being charged with the offence.
With Klemmer being exonerated and Roberts taking an early plea, Hodges says while he’s happy the Bulldog forward is free to play this weekend, it could mean problems for Roberts if he finds himself fronting the judiciary later in the season.
