New South Wales State of Origin coach Laurie Daley says Jarryd Hayne is very much in contention for selection in the Blues side for Game One on May 31.
Hayne has been criticized in some quarters for a lack of effort and application both on and off the field at the Titans this season, leading to talk that Daley may choose to go another way when he names his team for Game One.
With the Blues in a better position than they have been in many years to get a win over Queensland, Daley (pictured) says Hayne though it just the type of player he needs to get over the top of the Maroons.
