A Murri rights advocate has slammed successive governments and First Nations organisations for the current state of Indigenous funding and services.
Kooma man Wayne Wharton says since the Howard government, multiple governments have ripped money out of Indigenous affairs, beginning with major cuts to ATSIC prior to its abolition, to the most recent Indigenous Advancement Strategy.
Mr Wharton says the way Governments have treated Indigenous affairs over the years has caused an inability among organisations to stand up for their people.
