Adam Goodes says he has closed the book on the turbulent final year of his career and is enjoying life without footy.
Goodes (pictured) will be honoured at Saturday nights game against the Giants with a half time lap of honour alongside fellow retiree Mike Pyke.
Although the champion former Swan says he has no plans to get involved with the game in any active way in the near future, he’s thrilled that he and long time friend and teammate Michael O’Loughlin have been honoured by the creation of the Goodes – O’Loughlin medal which the decorated pair will present to the Swans best player in this years Indigenous Round, which will now be known as the Sir Doug Nicholls Round.
