The AFL is giving serious consideration to playing footy on Easter Friday.
The Christian holiday has always been considered off limits by the AFL but in recent times that attitude has softened as the calls for the day to be utilised have increased from clubs and fans alike.
St Kilda are just one of the clubs clamouring for the opportunity to play on the public holiday and superstar Nick Riewoldt (pictured) says, while he was initially not keen, he’s now supportive of the concept and believes it would be a great addition to the AFLs calendar .
