The National Indigenous Women Cricket team leaves for India today for their historic 10 day 5 match  tour.

The tour fittingly falls on the 150th Anniversary of the ground breaking First Nations cricket tour of England in 1866.

Skipper Ash Gardner (pictured) says the team is anticipating the typical hot and steamy Indian conditions that make playing  in India such a challenge but she hopes the experience  she gained on tour in Sri Lanka will have helped prepare her for the challenge that lies ahead.
