Muruwari woman Ash Gardner’s remarkable sporting life will notch another milestone this week in the United Kingdom.
Gardner, who became the second indigenous woman to play cricket for Australia earlier in the season, will become just the first to represent Australia at a Womens Cricket World Cup when the tournament begins on June 24.
Gardner (pictured) has had a breakout year in her sport but says the challenges never stop and dealing with the English pitches in the World Cup will be just the latest hurdle she’s faced in her groundbreaking career.
