Dane Gagai says Queenslands 2017 State of Origin series win will be a memory to be savoured for years to come.
With his club team Newcastle anchored to the bottom of the NFL ladder, the Torres Strait flyers tryscoring feats has been a revelation for the Maroons this year and he was awarded the Wally Lewis Medal for the Player of the Series at the end of Wednesday nights decider.
Gagai (pictured) was a real force to be reckoned with in the series, running for over 560 metres in three games and he says winning the Lewis medal will be something he’ll cherish for the rest of his life.
