Buddy Franklin will proudly represent First Nations culture on Friday night when the Swans take on Hawthorn at the SCG.
Part of the Sir Doug Nicholls Round, the annual clash is known as Marngrook at the SCG in acknowledgment of the origins of Australias indigenous game.
One of the greatest First Nations players of all time, with 814 goals in 256 games in the AFL for Hawthorn and Sydney, Franklin (pictured) says the Indigenous round match is one of the highlights of the season for both indigenous and non indigenous players and he’ll be going all out to get a win over his old club the Hawks.
