The Sydney Swans have lost key defender Ted Richards for Sunday afternoons clash with the Brisbane Lions at the Gabba.
The Swans have named 21 year old Kenyan born Aliir Aliir (pictured) as the replacement for Richards, who fractured a cheekbone in the weekend defeat of the Eagles.
Swans coach John Longmire says Aliir, who was born in a refugee camp in Kenya before migrating to Australia says he couldn’t be more pleased for Aliir, who was selected by the Swans in the 2013 AFL draft.
