A First Nations Playwright says that the arts have given her insight into recent First Nations history.
Yesterday’s 98.9 FM’s Let’s Talk program featured Ursula Yovich, the 2016 winner of the Balnaves Foundation’s Indigenous Playwright award.
Ms Yovich is an acclaimed actor having worked on films such as Jindabyne, Goldstone and Australia.
She spoke on her play ‘The Eulogy,’ which centres on the cultural protocols of sorry business and the current state of the arts in relation to First Nations people.
Ms Yovich says that through her work as an actor she has learned more about First Nations history.
