Cronulla Sharks half James Maloney says he’s confident giant forward Andrew Fifita (pictured) won’t be distracted by the latest controversy when the team meet Canberra on Saturday afternoon.
Fifita has been under investigation by the NRL’s Integrity Unit following approaches by New South Wales police about Fifita’s contact with a convicted murderer currently serving time.
A fit and firing Fifita is crucial to the Sharks chances and Maloney says, while he hasn’t been watching the saga unfold in the press, he confident that Fifita’s performance won’t be effected by the ongoing investigation.
