The organiser of a healing conference in Brisbane says real healing starts when finding and making sense of their story.
Batiba Guwiyal, meaning Extinguish the Flame in Dunghutti, is a three day conference hosted by Brisbane based consultancy organisation Murawin.
The conference, which wrapped up yesterday, brings together people from over the country who have a stake in the healing of our people who have experienced child abuse or sexual assault.
Dunghutti woman and organiser, Carol Vale says healing can only begin when a safe place has been made for people to open up.
