The Parramatta Eels have been stripped of the 12 points they’ve so far accumulated in the 2016 NRL season.
The club has been under investigation by the NRL for breaches of the salary cap since at least 2013 and will also pay a one million dollar fine.
NRL CEO Todd Greenberg (pictured), in delivering the preliminary findings of the investigation, was damning of the club and its rorting of the cap.
