AFL star Eddie Betts (pictured) says he’s saddened that racism continues to raise its ugly head in the game.
Betts was target of a racist slur committed by Port Adelaide fan Alexandra Pelosi after he kicked a brilliant goal late in the Crows win over Port in the local derby on the weekend.
The Crows star, who was playing his 250th AFL match, says the incident proves that more still needs to be done to combat racism in sport .
