Brendan Doggett’s outstanding year has been recognized with the Queenslander named the Lord’s Taverners Indigenous Cricketer of the Year.

Doggett (pictured) was outstanding in Brisbane club cricket, taking 42 wickets at an average of 13 for Western Suburbs and he backed up those performances with some consistent displays for Queesnlands Futures League team.

Additionally, Doggett was made the Brisbane Heats community rookie and was also selected in the National Indigenous Squad.

Doggett has been an outstanding member of Queenslands Imparja Cup squad in recent years but was unable at this years competition due to his Queensland Futures League duties.

The award winner is selected based on overall performances from all competitions and follows Ashleigh Gardners win last year.
