Geelong superstar Patrick Dangerfield has accepted a one match ban and will miss Friday nights crucial clash with the Swans.
The Cats avoided a two match ban by lodging an early guilty plea over Dangerfields tackle on Carltons Matthew Kreuzer.
The ban means Dangerfield (pictured) is ineligible to win back to back Brownlow medals but the 27 year old says that had little influence on the decision to lodge an early plea, with the club focused on finals and not medals.
