New South Wales State of Origin coach Laurie Daley (pictured) has named a thirteen man Emerging Blues squad to get together in camp in January.
The Emerging players squad is an idea successfully utilised by the dominant Qld team over the last decade or so after first being introduced by former Maroons coach Wayne Bennett.
With young players players like Ryan James, Latrell Mitchell, Nathan Peats and James Roberts included for the first time, Daley says the camp is all about smoothing the way into the pressure cooker atmosphere of Origin football in the future.
