New South Wales coach Laurie Daley (pictured) says he believes the Canberra Raiders deserve to be premiership favourites as they prepare to take on the embattled Eels on Sunday.
The Raiders now sit in third place on the NRL ladder with just three rounds remaining and have shown in recent weeks that they have what it takes to not only be competitive against, but beat the leagues top sides.
Daley says after the way the Raiders have accounted for ladder leaders Melbourne and Cronulla in the past two rounds, he has no doubt that Ricky Stuarts team has what it takes to go all the way in the 2016 finals series.
