Forward David Klemmer has been named the Brad Fittler medallist for Blues player of the year on Monday night.
Klemmer was outstanding despite the Blues again going down to the Maroons, running for more metres than any other New South Wales forward.
However, it was the absence of sacked coach Laurie Daley that was most notable with skipper Boyd Cordner (pictured) sorry that the former coach was a no show on the Blues night of nights.
