Johnathon Thurston (pictured) has made a triumphant return to Belmore oval, leading the Cowboys to a much needed win over the Bulldogs.
The Cowboys have been off their game in recent weeks but the 24 – 16 win over the Dogs sees them back in the top four and Canterbury dropping to fifth.
Cowboys skipper Thurston, in his first ever match at his former clubs home ground, says he was thrilled to play in front of the Bulldogs fans and he was equally happy with the way his side acquitted themselves against the tough Canterbury side.
