North Queensland co captain Matt Scott says he believes the premiers have never been better able to cope with out skipper Johnathon Thurston.

The premiers took on the fellow top four aspirants the Bulldogs  in Townsville and handed them a footballing lesson, running out winners 36 – 0.

It wasn’t all good news for the Cowboys with Thurston (pictured)  leaving the match in the 45th minute after suffering a hamstring strain but Scott says he’s confident the North Queensland side have the talent to cover for Thurston if he’s unavailable to take on the Storm next week.
