A Noongar man says the South West Land and Sea Council is no longer a representative of the community amid controversy surrounding the biggest native title deal in Australia.
The deal between the West Australian Government and SWALSC will see six Noongar nations extinguish native title rights in exchange for $1.3 billion dollars, parcels of land, services and other benefits.
Multiple figures in the Noongar community launched court action against the way authorisation meeting were conducted.
The case has now been referred to the Federal Court which will view the case in late July.
Bibbulmun man Mervyn Eades says despite the ongoing case, the land council is still moving ahead with administration of the deal.
