AFL CEO Gillon McLachlan says he’s confident players have nothing to fear from Chinas pollution levels when Port Adelaide take on the Suns in the historic clash in Shanghai on Sunday.

Gold Coast coach Rodney Eade expressed concerns on the weekend about smog levels in Chinas most populous city but both Suns Chairman Tony Cochrane and McLachlan have downplayed the comments.

The match is seen as a major step in the AFLs plans for expansion into China  and McLachlan says he’s confident the players have nothing to fear.
