The Melbourne Storm have confirmed that Queensland and Australian centre Wil Chambers (pictured) will be out for up to 12 weeks after fracturing his foot on Monday night in the Storms defeat at the hands of Canterbury.
Chambers played on after the injury occurred early in the match and it was only after the game that scans uncovered the extent of the injury.
Along with the season ending injury to Billy Slater, its catastrophic news for the Storms premiership chances but its also bad news for the Queensland team although former Origin star Justin Hodges believes Maroons coach Kevin Walters has the options to cover for the loss of Chambers.
