When the Hawks run onto the MCG tonight to take on the Adelaide Crows, four time premiership star Shaun Burgoyne (pictured) will rack up his 300th AFL game.
Burgoyne has been a major contributor to the success of Hawthorn after crossing from Port Adelaide for whom he was also a significant part in the clubs solitary flag in 2004.
NIRS footys Chris Johnson has been witness to much of Burgoynes remarkable career and he says in addition to going down in history as one of just 5 First Nations players to play 300 games, he’ll also be remembered as one of the most versatile and humble players to play the game.
