The Rabbitohs are hopeful that giant forward Sam Burgess (pictured) will be fit and available for Souths clash with Manly on Thursday night.
Burgess suffered a neck injury in the round three loss to the Dragons and after spending two nights in hospital, failed to line up for the Rabbits in the heavy loss at the hands of the bulldogs on Friday night.
Souths were manhandled by the dogs in the first half and desperately need a fit Burgess for the Manly clash although coach Michael Maguire will be reminding his side that with or without the giant Englishman, they’ll need to be much better to get a win against the Sea Eagles.
