Sydney Swans superstar Buddy Franklin (pictured) says the experience of last season that saw Adam Goodes leave the game was at least in part a motivating factor in his decision to join the committee of the clubs second Reconciliation Action plan.
The Swans have vowed to become a leader in promoting equality and justice for First Nations people in order to create a deeper respect for and understanding of Aboriginal culture.
The superstar forward says he’s excited to be in a position to continue the legacy of Swans legends Adam Goodes and Michael O’Loughlin.
