The families of the young Bowraville murder victims, along with their supporters, marched on parliament house in Sydney today calling for the case to return to the court room.

It has been over a quarter of a century since three children,13128627_10153426227611459_1629621700_o 16-year-old Clinton Speedy-Duroux, four-year-old Evelyn Greenup and 16-year-old Colleen Walker Craig, were tragically taken from their from the families.

The man believed to be responsible was found not guilty for the murders of Clinton and Evelyn which were tried separately.

The surfacing of new evidence since has prompted ongoing calls for the
cases to be retried together which to this date have failed.

Colleen Walker’s cousin, Gavin Stanbrook says it’s been a long road for the family who have lived through the tragedy, and have then had to fight for justice.

He also says he hopes today’s rally will trigger the matter to be taken seriously.

Darumbul journalist with Brisbane’s 98.9fm, Amy McQuire attended the rally and says a private members bill, submitted to parliament by Greens MLA David Shoebridge in a move to clear an avenue for the accused to appear again before the court, was voted down by both major parties.
