The Australian mens basketball teams Olympic campaign is off to the perfect start after the Boomers turned in one of the greatest performances in Australian basketball history against Serbia.
Ranked second in the world just 2 years ago, Serbia lead the Aussies at three quarter time before Patty Mills (pictured) combined in a brilliant final quarter with Matthew Dellavadova to see the Boomers home by 15 points, winning 95 – 80.
Australia have never won their opening two matches in Olympic competition before and now move on to an all important matchup with gold medal favourites the US.
