Kangaroos coach Mal Meninga says the furore over the behaviour of Blues players Josh Dugan and Blake Ferguson is being used as an excuse for the Blues Origin implosion.
The Blues were considered virtual certainties to take out the series after overpowering Queensland in Game One, before capitulating in Game Three.
Meninga (pictured) says with no evidence of wrong doing by the players, the focus should rather be on the inability of the Blues to win the series when it was there for the taking.
