Incoming Brisbane Lions captain Dane Beams says the retention of former skipper Tom Rockliff in the clubs leadership group is a sign of just how hard Rockliff has worked to regain the trust of his teammates.
Beams, a premiership player with Collingwood in 2010, was named the clubs skipper this week.
Rockliffs time as captain was a difficult one for the club both on and off the field but Beams (pictured) says the former skipper has worked hard to win back the confidence of the team and that is reflected by his ongoing leadership role.
